THE HILLER COMPANIES, INC. IS A NATIONAL LEADER IN THE FIRE PROTECTION & SECURITY INDUSTRY AND HAS AN IMMEDIATE OPENING FOR A QUALIFIED INSIDE SALES/CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE IN CHESAPEAKE, VA_._
SALARY RANGE: $15.00 - $17.00/HOUR
DESCRIPTION:
- Handling our walk-in customers, assisting them with their fire protection needs and preparing paperwork to be submitted to our billing department for processing.
- Taking incoming calls from customers and quoting them on fire protection products.
- Processing ordered that are generated from above which includes processing material requisitions for material that needs to be ordered.
- Helping increase our commodity sales to new and existing customers through various marketing campaigns.
- Assist with our online sales platform fulfilling orders.
- Building relationships with both our walk-in customers and call in customers and staying in touch with them to ensure that we are getting opportunities to quote on their fire protection needs.
- Assisting the General Manager with various administrative tasks.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Experience with quoting products to customers utilizing a cost plus markup method.
- Government Sales Experience is a Plus.
- Detail oriented and strong problem solving skills.
- Proficient in the use of personal computer programs such as Word, Excel, & Outlook. PowerPoint a plus.
- Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to work well with others.
OTHER:
- MUST have at a minimum a high school diploma/GED
- Must be able to pass a drug test and background check.
- Ability to work a full time schedule
- Fire Protection background is a plus.
