HILLVIEW MENTAL HEALTH CENTER, INC. is a community mental health center located in the San Fernando Valley. We provide a variety of services to youth and adults with severe and persistent mental disabilities.
We are currently seeking an EXECUTIVE ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT to provide administrative support to the President / Chief Executive Officer.
This position requires the capability to work both independently and as a team player. If you possess a high level of personal motivation and have the ability to function in a fast paced, quick response, multi-task environment you are encouraged to apply for this position.
Duties for this position include:
Taking and transcribing dictation; preparing Board of Director’s packets, agendas and minutes as needed.
Scheduling appointments and maintaining the Executive calendar.
Maintaining computer databases.
Researching and analyzing data in order to develop reports for the CEO’s decision-making.
Maintaining the executive files and file management system
Coordinating and making travel arrangements as needed.
Answering, screening and directing telephone calls, taking messages, provide information and redirect calls as appropriate.
Handling special projects as assigned by CEO.
When considering applying for this position, please review these ESSENTIAL MINIMUM requirements:
• AA Degree and a minimum of three years experience supporting an Executive Director
or Chief Executive Officer of an organization. .
• Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office - Word and Excel. Power Point skills are
helpful, but not required.
• Able to work Monday – Friday 9:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.
• Top-level telephone etiquette skills
• Knowledge of and experience with file management.
• Bilingual in Spanish/English a plus, but not required.
• Must show valid California driver’s license and current automobile insurance
information prior to start date and thereafter, on an annual basis. Must also maintain
a good driving record.
– Ability to pass thorough background check.

Hillview Mental Health Center, Inc., founded in 1966 is one of the first centers founded by the Community Health Act of 1963, federal legislation which began the process of closing state mental institutions across the United States. Hillview serves adults (age 16 -25 (transitional aged youth), 26-54 (Adult) and 55 and older)). Located in East San Fernando Valley, we serve the largest low-income communities in Los Angeles County. Our commitment to serve individuals and their families affected by both mental illness and economic challenges remains our priority. Services are delivered by multidisciplinary teams who collaborate as needed to integrate our services with community social services and primary health care providers in our communities. Services offered include psychotropic medication evaluation and follow-up, mental health (individual and group therapy, individual and group substance use counseling), and targeted case management (assistance with linkage to housing, employment, primary health care, food, clothing, etc).
