    The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing specialized instruction to students with diverse learning needs, ensuring a supportive and inclusive educational environment.

    We are currently hiring a special education teacher for a charter school in Alexandria.

    Student Ratio is 1.75 to 1 student to staff ratio

    We are looking for licensed sped teacher with experience working with students with Autism, learning and behavior disabilities.

    Pay: Competitive salary based on experience

    Responsibilities:

    \- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs.
    \- Manage classroom dynamics and behavior effectively through proven Classroom management techniques.
    \- Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and other educators to support student learning and development.
    \- Utilize experience in working with children to create a positive and nurturing classroom environment.
    \- Implement behavioral therapy techniques when necessary to support student progress.
    \- Provide specialized instruction in Preschool or elementary school settings as needed.
    \- Demonstrate expertise in Special education practices to meet the diverse needs of students.

    Requirements:
    \- Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field; Master's degree preferred.
    \- State certification in Special Education or eligibility for certification.
    \- Experience working with students with disabilities or special needs.
    \- Strong ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
    \- Passion for educating and advocating for students with diverse learning needs.
