Large governmental agency is seeking a Histotechnologist to prepare and process tissue specimens for microscopic examinations.

WORK LOCATION: 163 Veterans Dr, White River Junction, VT 05001

PAY: $45-60k/yr (depending on experience) PLUS 12 paid holidays

CONTRACT DATES: ASAP - 3/11/30 (This is a five-year role, but you can step away if circumstances change)

HOURS: M-F, 7-4:30 (40 hrs/wk)

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform tissue preparation: fixation, embedding, microtomy, and staining.
• Operate and maintain lab equipment per protocols.
• Prepare and stain slides for routine and special studies, including IHC.
• Ensure accurate labeling and documentation.
• Follow safety, quality, and compliance standards.
• Troubleshoot equipment and procedural issues.
• Maintain detailed records and collaborate with pathologists and medical staff.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s in Histotechnology, Biology, or related field.
• HT (ASCP) or HTL (ASCP) certification preferred.
• Clinical lab experience is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of histology techniques and equipment.
• Excellent organization, time management, and teamwork skills.
