Holiday Lighting Technician

At Humbug Holiday Lighting we’re pleased to offer a seasonal position as a Holiday Lighting Technician. This position is from September to December in the greater Jacksonville/St Augustine area.

As Humbug Holiday Lighting Technician, you will be professionally installing holiday lighting systems at residential and commercial locations.

Pay

$20 - $25 per hour based on experience and qualifications.

5% commissions on any up-sales

What You’ll Be Doing

· Working with a team of experienced installers to professionally install holiday lighting & accessories for properties

· Loading, unpacking, and carrying ladders/equipment

· Climbing and working from ladders, as well as roofs

· Receiving training on ladder safety fall protection, and fall-restraint systems.

· Ensuring the safety of your yourself and others on your team by maintaining safety standards

· Locating, reporting, and troubleshooting power issues related to lighting systems or lit décor

· Conducting service calls for issues with lighting and accessories after install

· Organizing lights, decorations, tools, inventory, and inventory within vehicles

· Maintaining a positive attitude with customers, co-workers, and supervisors

What We’re Looking For

· No prior experience required. We are looking for people with a solid work ethic and a team-mentality

· Ability to follow instructions and work well with others

· Must be able to work weekends and some evenings

· Strong problem solving and multitasking skills

· Comfortable on ladders up to 30 feet and navigating on roofs

· Ability to regularly lift objects weighing 25 pounds or more

· Occasionally lift heavy objects weighing up to 50 pounds

· Good driving record (No accidents or insurance claims in the last 2 years)

· Basic electrical knowledge is helpful

Requirements

· Valid driver’s license

· Graduated high school or GED equivalent

· Agree to take and pass background check and drug test

· Be punctual and reliable
