    The Hollywood Theatre is a not-for-profit, historic movie palace in Portland, Oregon, that is widely regarded as one of the premier independent theaters in the country. We're known for our commitment to preserving the movie-going experience, and for our eclectic film programming featuring first-run films as well as a wide variety of repertory films, from well-known classics to forgotten obscurities. The Hollywood is also the only theatre in Oregon that regularly screens films in 70mm (widely considered the best movie-viewing experience available), as well as in 35mm, 16mm and 4K Digital. To more fully support our commitment to film, in 2018 the Hollywood Theatre took ownership of Movie Madness, Portland's iconic video rental store which features over 80,000 titles on DVD, Blu-Ray, and VHS, as well as an extensive collection of movie props and costumes on display.

    If you’d like to be part of a nonprofit organization that is committed to doing our part to support the local film ecosystem, we’d like to harness your expertise in managing and delivering programs such as those described above. We are currently searching for someone to fill our Operations Coordinator position.  Starting salary is expected to be between $43,000-$48,000.

    This full-time Operations Coordinator position reports to our Senior Director, Finance & Operations. You will help manage our fiscal sponsorship program; coordinate with contractors; communicate with members, students and customers; provide a variety of administrative support; analyze information and data; and assist in coordinating a wide variety of project work across all of our programs.

    We’re looking for a passionate and driven individual with 2 years’ experience in a related role. An understanding of the independent film industry, art house cinemas, nonprofits, historic buildings, customer service, hospitality and/or filmmaking is a plus. We hope that you will be able to demonstrate through your past experience: exceptional communication with a range of stakeholders, capacity to think critically and problem solve, organization and attention to detail, and an ability to successfully manage competing deadlines.
