Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced, reliable caregiver to care for our clients in a professional and compassionate manner. It's an often demanding job, as you will have to be flexible for most of the day and week depending on the client and shifts. It can also be very satisfying and rewarding, since people who are ill, injured, disabled, or elderly are thankful for high quality assistance. The ideal candidate will be patient and friendly with strong communication skills and reliable transportation. You should be able to follow instructions and perform a variety of tasks to help clients.

Responsibilities

Help remind clients to take prescribed medication

Assist clients with ambulation and mobility around the house or outside (doctors appointments, walks, ect.)

Assist clients with personal care and hygiene

Help clients with physical therapy exercises

Plan and prepare meals with assistance from the clients (when they are able)

Do the clients shopping and assist them when the shop

Perform light housekeeping duties that the client cant complete on their own

Be a pleasant and supportive companion

Report any unusual incidents

Act quickly responsibly in cases of emergency

Skills

Home Care Aide experience

Proven clearance of background/fingerprints

Excellent knowledge of emergency response and first aid (CPR)

Knowledge of housekeeping activities and cooking while paying attention to dietary constraints

Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards

Respectful and compassionate

Good time management skills

Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills

Strong ethics

Physical endurance

High school diploma or equivalent

Schedule

Monday to Friday

Weekends as needed

Ability to commute / relocate

Oakland ca. must be able to reliably commute or plan to relocate prior starting work. (required)

Afternoon shift

Weekends depending on the client schedule

All caregivers are required to wear masks and be FULLY vaccinated with Covid-19 vaccine. All caregivers must clear a background check and be registered with the State of CA as a home care aide. Must show proof of current TB and covid vaccines. Please be ready to supply us with referrals as well, personal and professional.
