ComForCare Washtenaw-Livingston is looking for direct care workers to help others within their homes or facilities where they reside. We assist within the counties of Washtenaw and Livingston.

We have flexible scheduling which allows you to work WHEN and WHERE you want! No minimum hours are required per week! Potential options are full-time, part-time, and contingent/Pick up. We do not have standard 9-5 hours. All schedules are based on each individual client’s wants and needs.
Starting pay ranges from $15.50 to $18 (firm) and depends on factors like experience and availability. This is base pay and there are also potential incentives for picking up last-minute shifts, special cases, and for some clients when becoming a part of their care team!
You also have a choice to opt in for on-call coverage for a premium that you receive whether you are called in, or not! Please indicate if you are interested in the questions that are asked along with your application.

Essential responsibilities could include but are not limited to:
Provide assistance with daily household/personal care management through daily activities to help clients stay independent, and in their own homes.
Incidental transportation for clients which includes visits to doctor appointments, friends, family members, or stores. Potentially also running errands for clients.
Observing and reporting changes in the client’s physical condition, behavior, or appearance.
Providing companionship for the client. This includes accompanying clients on walks, trips to social/recreational activities, assistance with hobbies, conversation, mental engagement. etc.
Assisting with personal care needs.
Assisting with mobility, transfers, and range of motion exercises.
Handle meal planning, preparation, serving, and feeding.
Provide respite services for the family.
Other duties as assigned.
Requirements: All listed are a firm requirement to be considered for employment.
A passion to serve and help others live their best lives possible.
High school diploma or G.E.D. certificate.
Previous experience as an at home caregiver, or in senior communities/facilities.
A valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and reliable vehicle. Documentation proofs will be required and will be verified before start of employment. Employment will not be offered if you do not meet this requirement.
Willingness to go directly to the client’s home. Preferences are noted for distance limitations. We service the counties of Washtenaw/Livingston. You will not be required to go outside of the initial preferences given.
Willing to run errands, drive clients to appointments, or provide transportation. Mileage is covered at a rate of $0.55 per mile.
