    BrightStar Care is looking to add home care nurses to their team!

    We are currently looking for either Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) or Registered Nurses (RNs) to work with a paraplegic, in-home care client needing a bowel program living in Brighton. Both Part- and Full-Time shifts are available.

    Daily shifts starting at 8 am and can range from 4 – 10 hour days. Weekend shift availability is 9 am – 1 pm.

    Home Care Nurse Benefits:

    Competitive pay starting at $36 per hour for LPNs and $40 per hour RNs

    Home Care RN/LPN Responsibilities:

    Providing care according to the patient’s plan of care, assistance with bowel program.

    Assist with physical therapy exercises

    Assure property maintenance of clinical records in compliance with local, state, and federal laws

    Provide any other care needed according to plan of care

    Home Care RN/LPN Requirements

    High school diploma or GED

    Current LPN or RN License

    Certified CPR and negative TB skin test or chest x-ray

    Minimum one (1) year of documented health care experience is required

    Licensed driver with insured and reliable automobile

    Self-directing with the ability to work with little direct supervision

    Empathy for the needs of the client

    Ability to read, write, speak and understand English and communicate effectively

    Treats clients, staff, and the public with courtesy, respect and presents a positive public image.

    Ensures confidentiality and security of the client’s medical information.

    Must be able to stand walk, squat, bend, kneel, reach, twist, push and pull. Varied assistance is required depending on the mobility of the client. Must be able to lift to 50 pounds
