Job Summary
We are looking for a Home Health Aide to join our team! You will directly work with clients, following a one-on-one care plan in clients homes. You operate with a big heart, not only providing personalized and attentive care but by building genuine relationships with those you serve. You are detail-oriented, highly organized, and committed to creating a healthy environment that meets client's needs. Strong verbal and written communication skills are needed to succeed in this role. Prior Home Health, respite and Dementia care experience is a plus. We are especially looking to hire in the following cities/towns: Colchester, East Hampton, Deep River, Old Saybrook, Clinton, Madison, Waterbury, Naugatuck, Wallingford.
Responsibilities
Assist clients with daily activities such transferring in and out of beds, baths, wheelchairs, or automobiles
Care for clients by, assisting with meal preparation and cooking, assisting with meals, medication reminder, changing bed linens, doing laundry, light housekeeping, assisting with personal care and accompanying to the grocery store
Compiling daily notes, observing clients condition, progress, or problems to report and discuss observations with the Agency and family
Build relationships with clients by conversing or reading aloud to help keep them mentally healthy and alert
Transport to medical appointments and errands
Engage patients in exercises or other activities
Qualifications
Graduated from an accredited Home Health Aide program
High School Diploma or GED
Three years prior professional experience
Valid driver’s license required
Personal vehicle with current registration and insurance
Able to use personal vehicle to transport clients
