Job description
At least 1 year home health care administrative experience required.
Job duties may be modified based on experience and fit within company.
Spanish speaking preferred
Maintain, update, and coordinate the scheduling of field clinicians including therapists (PT, PTA, OT, COTA, and ST), nurses (RN, LVN), home health aides, and medical social workers MSW.
Complete insurance authorizations as needed.
Conduct self in a professional and courteous manner.
Display a positive attitude and perseverance when challenged.
Perform daily office activities as needed.
Responsible for answering the telephone and receiving messages in a pleasant and professional manner.
Receives and submits faxed information and e-mail.
Ensure confidentiality of all protective health information.
Ensure faxed information is submitted to the appropriate person.
Assist in the production and completion of requested documents including plans of care and other documents as requested.
Ensures all documents produced are grammatically correct and spelled correctly.
Ensures relevant office equipment is working and maintained.
Ensures operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; calling for repairs; maintaining equipment inventories; evaluating new equipment and techniques.
Provides information by answering questions and requests.
Maintains supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies; verifying receipt of supplies.
Completes operational requirements by scheduling and assigning administrative projects; expediting work results.
Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Resolves administrative problems by coordinating preparation of reports, analyzing data, and identifying solutions.
