We prepare from scratch new menus daily as elite athletes require functional cuisine targeted at fueling the body for success. JOB DESCRIPTION We are seeking a dedicated Line Cook to join our team at Honest Hospitality. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing a range of essential tasks critical to the success of our daily operations. Ensuring all day-to-day activities are carried out in alignment with Honest Hospitality's high standards of excellence.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Preparing food: Line cooks are responsible for preparing ingredients, following recipes, and cooking dishes according to menu specifications.
Operating kitchen equipment: Line cooks must operate kitchen equipment safely and proficiently, such as grills, ovens, fryers, and knives.
Maintaining cleanliness: Line cooks are expected to keep their workstations clean and organized, as well as follow food safety and sanitation guidelines to prevent cross-contamination and ensure food safety.
Working efficiently: Line cooks need to work quickly and efficiently, especially during busy times, to ensure that orders are prepared and served promptly.
Collaborating with team members: Line cooks often work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment, so effective communication and collaboration with other kitchen staff are essential.
Adhering to quality standards: Line cooks must ensure that dishes meet quality standards in terms of taste, presentation, and portion size.
Following instructions: Line cooks need to follow instructions from the head chef or kitchen manager, as well as adapt to any changes in the menu or recipes.
Managing inventory: Line cooks may be responsible for monitoring and restocking ingredients, as well as rotating stock to maintain freshness.
Adapting to a fast-paced environment: Line cooks must be able to work well under pressure, multitask, and prioritize tasks effectively in a busy kitchen setting.
Ensuring food safety: Line cooks must follow proper food handling procedures to prevent foodborne illnesses and maintain a safe working environment for themselves and their colleagues.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Experience in hospitality or restaurant management is preferred.
Proficiency in handling inventory and ordering processes.
