PARAPROFESSIONAL – New Brunswick, NJ

Horizon Staffing Resources is seeking two (2) qualified paraprofessionals in Clark, NJ for on-going coverage for the 2021/2022 school year. The paraprofessional will work either 1:1 with a special needs student, or as a small group aide promoting maximum academic and personal growth.

Must be comfortable working with an elementary OR middle school aged students.

Schedule/Hours

Schedule: Monday through Friday

Hours:

• 8:45am – 3:15pm for elementary school

• 7:50am – 2:50pm for middle school

Assignment: Starting ASAP through June 2022

Responsibilities

• Provide instructional reinforcement for students

• Attend to student's physical, personal, academic, and emotional needs

• Support students with special needs by following provisions specified in their IEPs/504 Plans

• Assist with administrative duties such as setting up equipment and preparing materials

• Assist teacher with classroom management and general supervision of the class as needed

• Perform other duties as directed by the classroom teacher and/or school administration

Requirements

• Previous experience with childcare preferred

• Excellent communication skills and ability to understand child’s needs

• High school diploma or equivalent; associates or bachelor’s degree preferred

• Must have or be willing to get fingerprinted by the Board of Education.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma WITH the ETS Parapro Assessment (Minimum Score of 456 or Higher); or

• An Associate’s (or higher) Degree; or

• Completion of two years of study at an institution of higher learning (48 College Credit Minimum)
