    Coastal Hydraulics is a distributor of hydraulic equipment and hose assemblies for the marine and heavy equipment industries. We are looking for an individual with mechanical aptitude to train in hydraulic hose assembly and managing parts inventory.

    Responsible for making hose and fitting assemblies and managing the hose, fittings and adapters inventory to meet customer demand. Provides a high level of customer service, by listening to and understanding customer needs and creating hose assemblies while they wait. Following the company’s Safety Program guidelines is a top priority in all aspects of the job. This role reports to the General Manager (GM).

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    Builds hydraulic hose assemblies for customers while they wait.

    Manages hose, fittings and adapters inventory levels, ordering and receiving.

    Performs regular inventory audits and reconciling stock counts to computer reports.

    Prepares inventory item purchase orders for approval.

    Receives and stocks inventory deliveries following receiving procedures.

    Performs mechanical work and repair for valves and pumps.

    Fills customer sales orders, pulling inventory and preparing items for shipment.

    Assists with the sale of electric clutches and hydraulic equipment.

    Follows Safety Program procedures, and reports unsafe conditions to management.

    Helps maintains a safe work environment, cleaning up throughout the work day, and putting tools away.

    Continually Inspects work areas to ensure floors and counters are clear, clean, and spills are cleaned up when they happen.

    Will perform other duties as required and assigned.

    Physical Environment

    May lift up to 50 pounds from the ground

    Endure intermittent bending, crouching, pushing, pulling, and reaching

    Standing for extended periods of time

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

    Prior Hose Assembly experience preferred (but not required)

    Ability to safely and efficiently operate a forklift (training provided)

    Ability to provide exceptional customer service

    Basic computer skills, ability to learn new software applications and pull reports

    Qualifications

    High school diploma or equivalent

    Technical schooling and/or certifications preferred

    Functional understanding of hydraulic systems
