    Position Summary Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of seniors and their families? Our newly developing Golden Heart Hospice is seeking a caring Chaplain to join our dedicated team. In this role, the Hospice Chaplain is responsible for creating and developing a nurturing spiritual presence throughout the organization. This person will also provide an on-going and direct ministry to patients, their families, the Hospice team, in addition to developing positive relationships with the community clergy.

    Requirements:

    Must be an individual who, by ordination or by ecclesiastical endorsement from the individual's denomination, has been approved to function in a pastoral capacity.

    Must have demonstrated experience in working with patients and families dealing with life-threatening illness and death.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    Ability to work as a member of an interdisciplinary group.

    Comfort in an interfaith setting.

    Ability to accept different lifestyles, cultures, beliefs, and values.

    Ability to network with community clergy and congregations.

    Knowledge of and commitment to hospice philosophy of care.

    If making home visits, must be a licensed driver with an automobile that is insured in accordance with state and/or organization requirements and is in good working order.

    Ability to demonstrate experience in working with patients and families dealing with life-threatening illness and death.Computer and basic office equipment.

    Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft programs for internal and external communications, presentations, database tracking/reporting, and spreadsheet applications.

    Must be organized and able to perform multiple, critical tasks simultaneously and frequently.
