  • Responsibilities

    The Hospital Director at Hometown Veterinary Partner is a member of hospital team and reports directly to the President. The Hospital Director will support our core beliefs of Culture, Collaboration and Community. You are empowered to provide exceptional veterinary care that is approachable, accessible, and individualized in your location. As a respected member of the leadership team, this leader is also responsible to lead and manage successful outcomes and advancements in operations, team management, client services, and marketing to build the HVP brand.

    Maintain a positive, supportive, and collaborate work environment.

    Interpersonal and conflict resolution skills to support an inclusive environment.

    Hire, retain, train, and develop medical staff.

    Onboard new team members

    Training hospital teams on workflows and systems

    Problem-solving with team members on cultural and operational issues to improve safety and efficiency and work environment.

    Provide ongoing leadership that supports efficiency, productivity, and well-being.

    Identifying opportunities and developing operational best practices to drive organic growth and fiscal sustainability

    Community

    Implement customer retention and engagement strategies and tactics.

    Provide a positive and exceptional client experience.

    Manage community involvement and philanthropy efforts.

    Engage and/or lead in marketing activities such as photography, social media, and local event participation.

    Collaboration

    Give input, ideas, and suggestions for continual improvement of the practice environment for the care team, patients, and pet parents.

    Guide and utilize exceptional support staff.

    Serves as an integrating force that fosters alignment of the healthcare team to support evidence-based, safe, high-quality, and cost-effective care for the community we serve.

    Familiarity with quality, safety, and health initiatives

    Ensuring all licenses are up to date, and in accordance with state or federal guidelines.

    Ensuring the medical staff and facility comply with the federal rules and regulations.

    Leadership capabilities

    Education, Experience & Qualifications

    High School diploma or equivalent

    Minimum 3-5 year of management experience in any industry

    3-5 years veterinary experience
