    Position Goals

    This job description for the Ice Cream Truck Driver at Hospitality Health ER provides criteria for the evaluation of the Ice Cream Truck Driver position. The Ice Cream Truck Driver at Hospitality Health ER is responsible for providing the highest level of customer service while providing prompt, safe and courteous transportation of the Ice Cream Truck. The Ice Cream Truck Driver will be responsible for parking/retrieving the vehicles, stocking for supplies, and miscellaneous vehicle maintenance. This position performs a variety of tasks in order to maintain proper and safe operation of the vehicle amongst both our Tyler and Longview locations.

    Position Responsibilities

    Under the direction of the Marketing Director, the responsibilities of the Ice Cream Truck Driver at Hospitality Health ER are, but not limited to:

    1. Operating ice cream truck for scheduled marketing events from designated parking lot areas to event locations

    2. Communicating with visitors in a friendly and professional manner

    3. Relocating vehicle on the lot as needed

    4. Performing miscellaneous vehicle maintenance including but not limited to pre-trip and post-trip inspections

    5. Inspecting company owned vehicles to ensure they are up to code and running properly and safely

    6. Maintaining a clean, pleasant, and calm environment inside the truck; this includes but is not limited to windows rolled up, approved audio/video playing, interior lights on, no air freshener spraying, no items on the dashboard and no outside food in the truck

    7. Fueling vehicle as needed

    8. Maintaining a strong working knowledge of safety procedures and company policies

    9. Logging trip count as needed

    10. Managing inventory counts

    11. Maintaining effective communication with management, dispatchers and other employees to ensure the highest level of operational performance

    12. Reporting any known accidents, observed or suspected violations of Company policy, safety hazard or any unusual occurrence to the department supervisor

    13. Having a thorough knowledge of all areas of parking area and facility

    14. Providing a memorable, personal and professional experience to all visitors

    15. Anticipating needs of visitors by opening doors, assisting with exiting the vehicle, and carrying any belongings to the door

    16. Stocking supplies inside the vehicle as needed

    17. Greeting all visitors and guests promptly and professionally; smiles, makes eye contact and verbally greets guests and coworkers from arrival on the property through departure

    18. Being a valuable teammate at all times, when asked to help with other tasks and/or other duties as requested

    Position Requirements

    The requirements for the Ice Cream Truck Driver at Hospitality Health ER are:

    1. The Ice Cream Truck Driver will have strong communication skills and display a positive attitude and passion for Hospitality Health ER

    2. The Ice Cream Truck Driver will maintain flexibility and availability for on-call and any coverage requirements that are not otherwise met by the Valet staff to include working overtime, holidays, weekends, and during peak volume and vacated shifts

    3. Ability to listen and follow instructions

    4. Ability to work unsupervised and have good judgment

    5. Ability to maintain a professional manner always

    6. Displays integrity and honesty

    7. Maintains a positive attitude towards patients, guests, and visitors

    Education/Experience

    High School Graduate/Equivalent is preferred but not required

    Ability to read, speak, and write the English language

    Must follow oral and written directions

    Valid Driver's License

    Impeccable driving record

    Able to work long hours in all elements of the weather (wind, cold, heat, snow, rain, etc.)

    Work Conditions

    Both environmental conditions; you will work both inside and out, including inclement weather

    Atmospheric conditions: fumes, odors, dust, mists, gases, or poor ventilation

    May be required to work in narrow aisles or passageways

    Working with hazardous chemicals

    Potential exposure to communicable disease
