    General Description: Under the direct supervision of the Director, the Hospitality Service Supervisor is responsible for the supervision of Hospitality Service Workers throughout Parrish Medical Center facilities. The position shall exemplify the desired Culture of Choice® and philosophies of Parrish Healthcare.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Maintains and controls all supplies and equipment used in the Hospitality Service Department. Performs daily inspection to maintain equipment is in clean condition and good repair. Informs Operations Manager.

    Performs patient room cleaning checkouts inspections for release to bed pool. Does not release them to Admitting until required standards have been met.

    Schedules personnel and arranges for Hospitality Service adequate coverage. Continuously checks assigned areas to ensure that work is being completed and personnel are following procedure and following assigned schedules.

    Trains and retrains Hospitality Service staff as necessary.

    Answers phone and logs all calls.

    Prepares daily Supervisor’s report, outlining activities and projects. Assumes responsibility of the Department in the absence of Operations Manager/Director.

    Monitors cleaning throughout the hospital; submits written project requests as required.

    Maintains a high standard of personal appearance among Hospitality Service personnel.

    Interviews potential Hospitality Service employees and makes hiring recommendations to Operations Manager.

    Conducts interviews.

    Counsels employees regarding job performance deficiencies and assists employee in obtaining goals and objectives.

    Prepares employee evaluations and reviews them with the Department Director prior to presentation to employee.

    Performs similar or related duties as assigned.

    Knows fire, disaster and safety procedures and regulations as it pertains to the work area.

    Requirements:

    Formal Education:

    High School Diploma or GED preferred

    Work Experience:

    2 to 3 years
