Host $10-15.00 Hourly DOE
Our Hosts set the stage for the entire Cattle Shed dining experience. Hosts greet and seat all arriving guests and acknowledge all departing guests in a friendly manner, assist in maintaining the overall guest flow of the restaurant, take reservations and call-in orders by phone and assist the FOH manager on the floor with guest service. This position requires no previous experience, but a great personality is a must. This position requires you to stand and exert well-paced mobility for periods of up to 6 hours in length and be able to lift 10 to 20 pounds.
Greeting Guests Welcome guests warmly as they enter the restaurant. Provide a friendly and professional first impression.
Managing Reservations Take and confirm reservations over the phone or online. Maintain an organized reservation system.
Seating Guests Escort guests to their tables promptly. Distribute menus and inform them about the server who will assist them.
Managing Waitlists Keep track of guests waiting for tables .Provide accurate wait time estimates and update guests accordingly.
Coordinating Seating Arrangements Assign tables based on guest preferences, party size, and server rotation. Balance workload across servers to ensure smooth service.
Assisting with Special Requests Handle guest inquiries or special seating requests, such as for wheelchair accessibility or high chairs. Accommodate dietary restrictions or special occasions, like birthdays or anniversaries.
Maintaining the Reception Area Keep the host stand clean and organized. Ensure menus, promotional materials, and other resources are stocked and tidy.
Communicating with Staff Coordinate with kitchen and service staff to monitor table turnover. Notify servers and managers of any special guest needs or concerns.
Handling Complaints or Issues Address guest concerns tactfully and escalate issues to the manager if needed.
Monitoring Guest Satisfaction Check with guests to ensure they’re satisfied with their experience.
Promoting Restaurant Offerings Inform guests about daily specials, promotions, or events. Encourage repeat visits by highlighting loyalty programs or upcoming events.
Safety and Cleanliness Compliance Ensure walkways and entry areas are clear and safe. Adhere to health and safety standards for a clean environment.
