We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to work a mix of hosting and food running shifts. Weekend availability is required.
Duties and Responsibilities (Host): Primary duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Responsible for checking in all employees and highlighting on the Open Table system.
Answer the phone, take reservations, and take takeout orders.
Ensures menus are clean and organized.
Greet, check in and seat guests.
Review all of the open table reservations and map out the plan for the shift.
Work with manager on the floor to ensure the proper wait time.
Ensure restrooms and the host stand are clean, stocked and organized.
Interacts with guests to ensure positive dining experience.
Duties and Responsibilities (Food Runner): Primary duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Organize dishes as they are prepared by the kitchen staff.
Ensure that orders have the correct sides and that all special instructions have been followed.
Working with wait staff, deliver food to tables.
Check with guests to make sure food is correct and to see if they have additional needs.
Maintain a clean and well-stocked expo line.
Knowledge and Skills:
Excellent communication skills (verbally interacts with management, servers, kitchen staff, other team members and guests.)
Basic reading skills.
Basic computer skills.
Must visually scan restaurant for clean, unoccupied tables.
Ability to work well with others and independently.
Ability to organize and multi-task.
Spanish language skills preferred, but not required.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is an hourly paid position. Days and hours of work vary according to business hours and job requirements. Business operates seven (7) days a week; and hours start as early as 9 AM and can go as late as 2 AM depending on the work required.
