    Position Summary – This position is responsible for delivering hospitality to our guests with genuine and personable conversation. This position is critical to our guests’ overall experience at the Anchor Bar. Are Host/Hostess & Take Our Position is the first and last impression. He/she must exceed the guest experience by aspiring to go above and beyond in providing exceptional service that will play an important role in our guests decisions to come back.     Job Summary

    We are seeking a Host/Hostess to join the team at our thriving restaurant. In this role, you will welcome guests, lead them to their seats, and inform them of any specials. Your goal is to quickly build rapport with patrons and make them feel welcome. The ideal candidate is friendly, outgoing, and committed to providing an exceptional dining experience.

    Responsibilities

     Uses proper greeting, “Hi Welcome to Anchor Bar, Home of the Original Buffalo Wing. How many in your party today? Or in Take Out, how may I help you today? Ensures that all customers feel welcome and are given responsive, friendly, and courteous service at all times.  Deliver genuine hospitality to and establish emotional connections with our guests.  Works with the management team on seating management system. Update table availability and manage bar and dining area effectively using the table management system.  Communicate effectively with guests and team members  Assist guests to their tables while engaging in polite conversation and delivering a great experience.  Answer the telephones and effectively answers customers questions and/or needs.  Take orders, in person or over the telephone, for takeout orders and packages to go food accurately.  Handle guest complaints professionally and alert a manager immediately  Communicate with managers and servers regarding table availability, key table updates, or special requests made by guests  Maintain high level of cleanliness and sanitation  Demonstrate professional and gracious demeanor at all times  Perform all opening, daily shift checklist and closing duties accurately as assigned.  Perform any job function requested by the management team

Able to communicate and understand the predominant language(s) of the restaurant’s trading area.  Customer Focus – Builds and maintains customer satisfaction to guests.  Problem Solving – Resolves difficult or complicated challenges. Works with management team to resolve problems and /or issues.  Teamwork – Promotes cooperation and commitment within a team to achieve goals and deliverables.  Able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 5 hours).
