Library Alehouse is a cozy, community-driven bar and restaurant located in the heart of Santa Monica, offering a curated selection of craft beers, delicious bites, and a warm, inviting atmosphere. As we grow and continue to serve our loyal patrons, we are looking for a friendly, dependable, and motivated Nighttime Host to join our team.

Position Overview:

As a Nighttime Host, you’ll be the first point of contact for guests visiting the Alehouse during the evening and late-night hours. Your role is essential in creating a welcoming and efficient environment for our guests. If you have a passion for hospitality and enjoy interacting with people in a fun, fast-paced atmosphere, we’d love to meet you!

Responsibilities:

Greet and welcome guests with a positive attitude and friendly demeanor.

Manage the reservation system and efficiently seat guests, balancing the dining room for optimal service.

Provide guests with accurate wait times and keep them updated if there is a delay.

Assist with the coordination of reservations, walk-ins, and large parties.

Maintain a clean and organized host stand and dining area.

Answer phone calls and assist guests with questions regarding menu items, wait times, or any other requests.

Communicate effectively with wait staff, bartenders, and management to ensure smooth service.

Help ensure the safety and comfort of guests as they enjoy their time with us.

Assist with closing tasks, including light cleaning and prep for the following day.

Qualifications:

Previous experience in a hospitality or customer service role is a plus, but not required.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work well under pressure, especially during busy hours.

Positive, friendly, and approachable attitude.

Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Must be 18 years or older.

Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
