Qualifications & Skills: Restaurant experience desirable, but not required. Excellent communication skills. To be considered for this role, you should be available to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends.
Summary of Position: Host responsibilities include greeting guests, providing accurate wait times and escorting customers to the dining and bar areas. For this role, you should have solid organizational and people skills to make sure our guests have a positive dining experience from the moment they arrive till their departure. You should also be available to work in shifts & maintain a clean work area.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Welcome guests to the restaurant with a smile
Provide accurate wait times, monitor waiting lists and manage guest reservations
Escort guests to assigned dining or bar areas
Provide menus to guests and announce server’s name
Greet customers upon their departure
Coordinate with management about available seating options by updating table statuses on the tablet regularly
Maintain a clean reception area and clean host stand
Cater to guests who require extra attention (e.x. children, elderly)
Answer incoming calls and address customer queries
Assist management or server staff when necessary
Physical Demands:
Must be in good physical condition to walk or stand throughout the entirety of a shift.
Extensive and prolonged walking, standing, bending, and reaching required.
Grasping and fine manipulation using hands required.
Ability to work up to 8-10 hours per day.
Other requirements:
Must have a current food handler’s card, RBS card (if over 18 years of age),
California workplace harassment training and/or any additional training required by law.
