Job Summary

Starfish is currently seeking exceptional candidates to join our team. We are searching for friendly, energetic, highly motived individuals, who will thrive in a fast-paced and team-oriented restaurant environment. The host position plays a crucial role in creating a positive dining experience for our guests by ensuring that each guest is treated with the utmost grace and professionalism. The ideal candidate for this position is guest -focused with a strong attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills. This is a fast-passed position and will require an individual who can perform well under pressure. Responsibilities

Answer phones in a friendly and professional manner.

Greet and seat guests in a timely and professional manner.

Organize and accommodate guest reservations and requests.

Accurately quote wait-times to guests.

Assign patrons to tables suitable for their needs and according to rotation so that servers receive appropriate number of seatings.

Coordinate with staff and management to ensure a smooth guest experience.

Manage the flow of guests into the dining and bar areas.

Facilitate take-out and delivery order fulfillment including operating delivery partner devices.

Able to speak knowledgeably about the restaurant and our offerings.

Side-work as assigned.

Qualifications

Must be at least 18 years of age.

Authorized to work in the United States.

Previous host experience preferred.

OpenTable experience preferred but not required.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Strong attention to detail.

Ability to work flexible hours.

Must be able to work weekends and holidays.

Possess a strong work ethic.

Be able to work in a standing position for duration of shift.

Must be able to lift 25 lbs.
