About Us: This is a multi-hotel facility comprised of both the Towneplace Suites and Fairfield Suites brands. The hotels are currently under construction, but we need our core management team in place during the construction of the property. Some of the things that make use unique are that we also have an all-day dining restaurant, a bar, an outdoor entertainment area, and bear garden, and access to all of the meetings and convention space at the Agricultural Center. Position Overview: As an Assistant General Manager, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the daily operations of the hotel and ensuring the smooth running of all departments. You will work closely with the General Manager to develop and implement strategies to enhance guest satisfaction, boost operational efficiency, and drive business growth. Responsibilities: • Assist the General Manager in overseeing all hotel operations, ensuring high standards of guest service, cleanliness, and safety. • Lead, mentor, and manage the front office and housekeeping department to ensure consistent performance and exceptional service delivery. • Monitor and evaluate staff performance, providing guidance, training, and development opportunities. • Ensure financial objectives are met, including budgeting, cost control, and revenue management. • Address guest inquiries and resolve concerns in a timely and professional manner. • Responsible for all guest billing, hotel banking functions, and maintaining accounts receivable. • Lead person for Human Resources tasks at the hotel including processing payroll. • Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, as well as company policies and procedures. Qualifications: • Previous experience in a management role within the hospitality industry (hotel experience is a plus). • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. • Sound financial acumen and understanding of hotel operations. • Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment. • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. • A degree in Hospitality Management or a related field is preferred. Compensation: $45,000 - $55,000 yearly
