Responsibilities: • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the engineering department, ensuring that all mechanical systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, etc.) are functioning optimally. • Ensure that all guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces are well-maintained and in compliance with quality standards. • Respond to maintenance requests and emergencies in a timely and efficient manner, prioritizing guest and staff safety. • Implement and oversee preventive maintenance programs for all hotel equipment, building systems, and assets. • Coordinate and supervise external contractors for repairs and maintenance, ensuring work is completed on schedule and within budget. • Lead, train, and supervise the engineering team, fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and technical excellence. • Ensure the engineering team is properly equipped and trained to handle daily tasks and emergency situations. Qualifications: • 2-4 years of maintenance experience is required for this role • The ability to lift and carry 50 lbs. or more is required • Good knowledge of computer software; preferably facilities management software • Must have a high school diploma or the equivalent GED • Must have strong organizational, communications, and interpersonal skills Compensation: $70,000 - $85,000 yearly
