We're looking for a courteous, detail-oriented maintenance engineer to provide our guests with a five-star experience. You'll be in charge of overseeing the property’s overall upkeep and carrying out routine processes to make it fully functioning, pleasurable, and safe. Responsibilities: • Collaborate with other personnel who will help you with maintenance tasks • Handle maintenance issues as quickly as possible to assure guest satisfaction • Use a wide range of tools such as hammers, screwdrivers, indicators, edge finders, drills, wrenches, and additional equipment • Respond to emergencies that occur outside of regular working hours • Keep an open line of communication with other team members and staff • Maintain all hotel equipment, maintenance plans, and safety policies according to company and brand standards • Complete daily logs of operations, report maintenance problems, safety hazards, and accidents • Understand a variety of repairs and maintenance systems (HVAC, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, refrigeration, fire code, pool, etc.) and continue to learn daily, as well as be willing to receive all appropriate certifications and trainings as requested • Work diligently on assigned tasks and take initiative to solve problems and create more efficient processes • Direct, supervise, and support the maintenance team • Create a welcoming environment for guests and solve guest concerns promptly • Be prepared to support the property after hours in the event of an emergency or temporary staff shortage • Work with a variety of tools, hammers and screwdrivers, indicators and edge finders, drills, wrenches, and other maintenance tools of the trade • Perform other duties as requested by the General Manager Qualifications: • Valid driver’s license and good driving record required • Applicants must have 2-4 years of experience in maintenance • Ability to use web-based software, including facilities maintenance software preferred • A high school diploma or equivalent GED is required • Must have strong organizational, communications, and interpersonal skills • Must have 5 years experience in maintenance • Previous Hotel experience preferred Compensation: $22 - $28 hourly
