    We are seeking an experienced and driven Director of Sales to lead and execute sales strategies at upcoming Marriott hotel properties at the Georgia National Fairgrounds. The Director of Sales will be responsible for developing and implementing innovative sales initiatives to drive revenue growth, increase market share, and build long-term relationships with clients. This position requires a deep understanding of the hospitality industry, excellent leadership and communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with both internal teams and external stakeholders. This is a sales position, not a marketing position. Your primary focus is outside sales calls. Responsibilities: Sales Strategy Development: Create and implement a comprehensive sales strategy to achieve revenue goals, maximize room occupancy, and expand the hotel’s market presence. Client Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key clients, including corporate accounts, travel agencies, event planners, and other business partners. Identify new business opportunities to increase hotel bookings. Market Research & Analysis: Analyze market trends, competitor performance, and guest demographics to identify opportunities and threats. Use data to adjust sales strategies and improve overall hotel performance. Sales & Marketing Collaboration: Work closely with the General Manager to develop promotional campaigns, digital marketing strategies, and branded content to generate leads and increase brand awareness. Revenue Management Support: Collaborate with the revenue management team to set pricing strategies, monitor booking trends, and maximize both occupancy and average daily rate (ADR) for the hotel. Sales Reporting & Forecasting: Monitor sales performance, track KPIs, and report on the effectiveness of sales initiatives. Provide regular updates to senior management on sales goals, projections, and outcomes. Event & Group Sales: Manage sales efforts for group bookings, corporate events, conferences, and weddings, ensuring the hotel meets the unique needs of each group while delivering exceptional service. Work closely with the Georgia Fairgrounds and Agricultural Center sales team in coordinating groups and conventions for both enterprises.Networking & Representing the Hotel: Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking functions to enhance the hotel’s visibility, build relationships, and represent the brand in the market. Qualifications: Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Hospitality Management, Marketing, or a related field (preferred). Experience: Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in hotel sales, with at least 2-4 years in a leadership role. Skills: • Proven track record of sales success and meeting/exceeding revenue targets. • Strong leadership and team management skills. • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities. • In-depth knowledge of hotel industry sales, pricing, and revenue management. • Strong analytical skills and the ability to use data to drive decisions. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and hotel sales software • Ability to build and maintain relationships with corporate clients, travel agents, and other industry stakeholders. Certifications: Sales or hospitality-related certifications (e.g., Certified Hotel Sales Executive – CHSE) are a plus. Compensation: $42,000 - $54,000 yearly
