The Hotel Engineering Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the maintenance and repair of the hotel’s facilities and equipment. This role ensures that all engineering systems operate efficiently, safely, and in compliance with industry standards. The supervisor leads a team of maintenance staff and collaborates with other departments to provide a high-quality guest experience. Responsibilities: Team Leadership: • Supervise and train the engineering team, ensuring all staff understand their roles and responsibilities. • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback for professional development. Maintenance Management: • Oversee routine maintenance and repairs for all hotel systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems. • Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime. Safety and Compliance: • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards, conducting regular safety inspections and training. • Respond to emergencies, coordinating repairs and ensuring guest and staff safety. Budgeting and Cost Control: • Assist in developing the engineering budget and monitor expenditures to stay within budgetary constraints. • Identify cost-saving opportunities in maintenance operations and implement best practices. Collaboration: • Work closely with other departments to ensure seamless operations and address maintenance issues promptly. • Liaise with vendors and contractors for specialized repairs and projects. Documentation and Reporting: • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inventory of supplies. • Prepare reports for management regarding the condition of hotel facilities and maintenance needs. Qualifications: • High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification preferred. • Proven experience in facility management or hotel engineering, with a minimum of 3-5 years in a supervisory role. • Strong knowledge of building systems, equipment maintenance, and safety regulations. • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
