    The Holiday Inn Express Hotel and Suites of Forest Hill Fort Worth is now interviewing for the full time overnight auditor position. At Holiday Inn Express, our agents are responsible for ensuring a positive guest experience while handling administrative duties and customer service operations. At this time, we are not considering any candidates who are not able to work on weekends or holidays.

    An overnight auditor in a hotel is responsible for performing accounting and administrative duties during the night shift. Their main tasks typically involve ensuring that all financial transactions for the day are recorded accurately, reconciling accounts, and preparing reports for the morning shift. This role is essential for ensuring smooth operations between the close of one business day and the start of the next.

    Key responsibilities:

    Night Audit: The auditor reconciles the day’s financial transactions, checking the accuracy of guest charges, payments, and room rates. This may involve reviewing the system for errors or discrepancies.

    Report Generation: They prepare various reports, such as daily revenue reports, occupancy reports, and other financial summaries for management.

    Guest Services: In addition to accounting tasks, they may assist guests with late check-ins or check-outs, process payments, and answer any customer queries during the night shift.

    System Updates: They ensure that the hotel’s property management system is updated with accurate data for the following day, which may include checking out guests who have already left, processing new bookings, or adjusting any discrepancies.

    Cash Handling: They may also be responsible for managing petty cash and balancing cash drawers or other payment systems used at the front desk.

    Security and Safety: Ensuring the hotel operates securely during the night, including monitoring surveillance systems and reporting any issues that arise.

    The overnight auditor role is typically suited for someone who is detail-oriented, comfortable working independently, and able to handle both accounting tasks and guest interactions during late hours.

    must be RESPONSIBLE. We need to be able to count on this person to arrive on time and be present for all scheduled shifts. This candidate must be visible and alert at the front desk, and ready to assist guests in a quick and professional manner.

    must be FLEXIBLE. This is not a set schedule position. We are a 24/7 operation, and our desired candidate must be willing to work on holidays and weekends. We rely on the the overnight agents to communicate day off requests with each other to ensure that the shift is always covered.

    must GENUINELY CARE ABOUT OTHERS. This is a service position, and it is important that our agents are friendly and approachable, and make the guests feel comfortable asking for assistance. Our associates must be willing to assist

    In addition to all other front desk duties, this candidate will also be responsible for handling the end of day processes, making/reviewing/modifying reservations, reviewing and auditing all transactions for the day, and communicating any issues and discrepancies with management.
