We are searching for an enthusiastic, service-focused hotel front desk agent to join our guest services team. You’ll welcome guests, manage accounts, answer inquiries, and field complaints to ensure we deliver an excellent experience to every guest. Shifts are both 7 am - 3 pm and 3 pm - 11 pm. Because this is a part-time position we are willing to discuss a set weekly schedule. This position is two days a week with the possibility of picking up an additional scheduled shift or emergency coverage. In addition, all employees in good standing will have the ability to undergo additional training to study for positions in other departments, supervisory, or management positions as their careers develop. Responsibilities: • Communicate with housekeeping to make sure guest rooms are ready • Take incoming calls, online and in-person room bookings requests, and answer questions about guests’ needs involving room rates, available rooms, amenities, rewards programs, and special requests • Greet, check-in, and check out guests when they arrive and leave the premises, distribute keys and room assignments, and record credit card information • Perform regular bookkeeping duties: make sure hotel guest information is current and correct • Handle customer complaints as necessary • Keep the front desk and lobby area neat and tidy during your shift. Qualifications: • Exhibits working knowledge of Microsoft Office and reservation management systems • High school graduate, GED recipient, or equivalent • Possesses strong customer service skills, interpersonal skills, organizational skills, and time management skills • Comfortable taking telephone calls and mitigating stressful situations • 1+ year of hotel industry experience or related job preferred Compensation: $12 - $15 hourly
