ONLY APPLICANTS WITH HOTEL FRONT DESK AND HOTEL MANAGEMENT EXPERIENCE WILL BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS POSITION: We are seeking a motivated Front Desk Manager to lead and train our front desk team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations with their staff as well as working cohesively with Housekeeping and Maintenance staff. Responsibilities: • Train, cross-train, and retrain all front desk staff • Maintain working relationships and communicate with all departments including Maintenance and Housekeeping • Expected to cover additional front desk shifts where needed in case of emergency • Resolve guest problems quickly, efficiently and courteously • Enforce all cash-handling, check-cashing and credit policies • Ensure front desk staff is dressed appropriately for all shifts • Ensure implementation of all hotel policies and procedures • Operate all aspects of Front Desk computer system, including software maintenance, report generation and analysis as well as simple configuration changes • Ensure employees are, at all times, attentive, friendly, helpful and courteous to all Guests, Managers and other Employees • Monitor all V.I.P's special Guests and requests • Review Front office log book and Guest feedback forms on a daily basis • Handles all Booking.com, Expedia and OTA's • Follow up and handling of all chargebacks • Perform other duties as requested by Management Qualifications: • Must have at least two years hotel front desk experience • Must have at least one year in Managerial capacity • Knowledge of Synexis • Able to be a leader and work cohesively with other departments • Available to work all shifts but will mainly work alternating first and second shifts • Must live locally and have reliable transportation Compensation: $14 - $16 hourly
