Responsibilities: • Verify, audit, and reconcile all financial records such as room charges, cash drawer activity, credit card transactions, final bill preparation, room charges, and occupancy percentages • Complete additional bookkeeping, administrative, and accounting procedures as requested • Prepare and distribute daily, weekly, and monthly reports to general manager, department heads, and hotel management • Ensure all guests feel they are having an exceptional experience at the property • Execute front desk clerk duties as required, such as processing reservations and check-ins, delegating housekeeping, security, and service requests, responding to guest inquiries, and resolving guest complaints as needed • Give every guest a warm welcome, check them in, and check them out when they leave, ensuring you provide the correct keys and room numbers • Take incoming calls, online and in-person room booking requests, and answer questions about guests’ needs involving room rates, available rooms, amenities, rewards programs, and special requests • Connect with the housekeeping department to ensure guest accommodations are ready • Bookkeeping: keep accurate records of all hotel guest account information • Handle customer complaints as necessary Qualifications: • High school diploma or equivalent required; some college preferred • Outstanding communication skills and excellent customer service skills are required • Proficiency with computers is required; experience with reservation and accounting software is desired • Experience in the hospitality industry or guest services is preferred, but not required • Requires a flexible schedule that allows for overnight shift hours • Excellent time management skills, organizational skills, customer service skills, and interpersonal skills • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and reservation management systems • Must have graduated high school, received a GED or equivalent • 1 year of experience in the hospitality industry as a hotel front desk agent, hotel receptionist, or guest service specialist preferred • Well-versed in taking telephone calls and handling stressful situations Compensation: $12.50 - $13.50 hourly
