A qualified Maintenance Technician must possess field experience, knowledge of Hampton Inn is helpful, be highly motivated, and can work independently or in a team environment with excellent time management skills. The technician is responsible for all aspects of maintenance on the Hotel, including but not limited to: • Basic repairs on a daily basis (i.e. troubleshooting, basic plumbing, carpentry, locks, HVAC, pool, drywall repair, appliances, electrical, etc) • Assisting Property Managers, owners, and guests as needed • Recording and remittance of completed work orders to the lead maintenance technician at the end of each workday • Proper notations on all work orders, particularly if additional follow up required • Additional duties as assigned by Property Managers • Performing other tasks or requests consistent with fulfilling company objectives Skills Required: • Strong field experience in multiple areas • Organizational skills with strong attention to detail Responsibilities: • Assist other technicians and engineers with a variety of maintenance tasks in a collaborative manner • Use a wide range of tools such as hammers, screwdrivers, indicators, edge finders, drills, wrenches, and additional equipment • Remain on-call in case of emergencies by keeping a phone on hand • Follow all engineering safety rules and regulations • Tend to all of the hotel's equipment and conduct preventive maintenance routines Qualifications: • Stellar communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills are needed • Good knowledge of computer software; preferably facilities management software • Driver’s license and outstanding driving record is necessary • You will need 2-4 years of experience in a maintenance role • The ability to lift and carry 50 lbs. or more is required Compensation: $15 - $17 hourly
