We're looking for a courteous, detail-oriented maintenance engineer to provide our guests with a five-star experience. You'll be in charge of overseeing the property’s overall upkeep and carrying out routine processes to make it fully functioning, pleasurable, and safe. Responsibilities: • Observe all engineering safety rules and criteria • Stay in constant contact with co-workers, managers, and other departments • React to emergencies that happen before, during, and after your regular work shifts • Tend to all of the hotel's equipment and conduct preventive maintenance routines • Work with a variety of tools hammers and screwdrivers, indicators and edge finders, drills, wrenches, and other maintenance tools of the trade • Maintain all hotel equipment, maintenance plans, safety policies, and brand standards • Complete daily logs of operations, report maintenance problems, safety hazards, and accidents • Understand maintenance systems and continue to learn daily as well as be willing to receive all appropriate certifications and trainings as requested • Work diligently on assigned tasks and take initiative to solve problems and create more efficient processes • Direct, supervise, and support the maintenance team • Create a welcoming environment for guests and solve guest concerns promptly • Be on time and prepared for scheduled shifts; Be positive and enthusiastic about work while working well with other associates • Be prepared to support the property after hours in the event of an emergency or temporary staff shortage Qualifications: • You will need 2-4 years of experience in a maintenance role • This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent GED • Stellar communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills are needed Compensation: $25 - $30 hourly
