COMPANY INFORMATION

House of Blades has been in business for over 40 years. B.C. Adams started selling knives which sprang from his love of collecting. He began by selling his products to various shops in the multi-state area surrounding Texas. Eventually, the inventory was too large to be mobile, and he built a brick and mortar store in 1982. By 2000, the store had outgrown its 2500 square foot building, so the larger 5000 square foot log cabin was built to house the now gigantic inventory.

TODAY- House of Blades is still going strong. The simple belief that customer service is the most valuable thing we can give our customers. We have over ten employees and are open seven days a week. When you buy from us, you will know that we are an authorized dealer for every product we list. We specialize in cutlery, pocket knives and accessories.

POSITION AVAILABLE: Retail Sales Associate

We are looking for a person who loves working in a customer service based environment. We strive to help our customer find the perfect item for their needs. If you are someone who loves working in a fast paced environment then this is the place for you! Customer service experience is a plus. Knife knowledge not needed, but some basic knowledge will be helpful.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Direct customers to the item they are looking for
• Help customers pick out gifts and assist them with engraving choices
• Cashier - Counting drawers and checking out customers
• Answer customers questions in person and on the phone
• Organize and stock product in display cases
• Inventory counts quarterly
• Operating basic computer systems and printers/copier

REQUIRED SKILLS:

• Strong customer service skills
• Previous cashier experience
• Stellar attention to detail is required
• Ability to maintain accuracy and speed while completing repetitive tasks
• Ability to work independently and efficiently
• Experience working in a fast paced, deadline driven environment
• Excellent written and oral communication skills

BONUS SKILLS

• Any prior knife knowledge (not required)
