    About Us: We have several clients in the Blacksburg area and some in the surrounding areas, but our central focus is Blacksburg. We are a small business with 3 employees currently but are growing at a very fast rate which means anyone who joins our team has the chance for growth within the company. At Detail Queen Cleaning LLC, we pride ourselves on the quality of our work and our actions. We work closely together to ensure that the client is completely satisfied with the job that we do. We have a work vehicle so you will never have to use your own vehicle to drive to the different job sites. We provide in depth training for all new employees even if you have over 20 years of cleaning experience. We offer uncapped pay raises at 90 days and then yearly. We pay you based on your work ethic and quality of the work you provide not on a percentage or set rate.

    Job Summary:

    We are looking for a Cleaning Crew Member to join our team! You will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service by consistently cleaning homes and offices. You will be traveling to customers' homes and providing a variety of cleaning services.

    You are someone who takes pride in your work, operating with high integrity and efficiency while serving customers. You have an eye for the details and go above & beyond to make an impact on our customers!

    Responsibilities:

    Effectively use provided equipment -- including vacuums and cleaning solutions -- to clean customer homes

    Clean all surfaces in the home, including fans, blinds, light fixtures, baseboards, fixtures, counters, showers, toilets, cabinets, and floor

    Ability to clean floors on hands and knees in kitchens and bathrooms

    Vacuum all stairs, carpet, hard surface floors, and furniture

    Move all reasonably moveable furniture to clean under and behind

    Carry all cleaning products and equipment to and from office, vehicle, and customers’ homes

    Assist in keeping supplies stocked and maintaining equipment

    Contribute to a positive work climate with a pleasant attitude and contribute to the overall team effort including being in uniform, dependable, and on time

    Qualifications:

    Previous housekeeping/janitorial experience preferred

    Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to commute between job sites required.

    Must be 18 years or older.

    Ability to read and follow cleaning instructions.

    Ability to differentiate between cleaning products and uses.

    Strong communication and customer service skills

    Ability to lift and carry 30 lbs. of equipment.

    Ability to withstand regular physical contact with dog and cat hair, mold, dust, mildew, and cleaning solutions.

    Must be friendly with all types of pets. We are a pet friendly business so you must be able to handle barking dogs, cats that rub up against you, etc. This is required.

    Able to work within a team and solo.

    Must be able to handle constructive criticism.

    The Perfect Candidate:

    Shows up to work on time, properly dressed and ready to work with a positive attitude

    We work as team, but everyone is expected to carry their own weight

    Since all work is checked by the owner constructive criticism must be received with a positive attitude

    The Interview Process:

    Phone interview (Up to 20 minutes)

    In person interview (Up to 1 hour)

    PAID On-site interview (Full workday which could vary but may be up to 8 hours)
