Position Summary: The Sanford Housing Authority is seeking a dedicated Housing Specialist to join our Rental Assistance and Resident Services team. This role involves performing general clerical work and duties related to the Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) and Veterans Affairs Supportive Housing (VASH) programs. The Housing Specialist will ensure compliance with HUD regulations and agency policies, perform recertifications, manage tenant files, and provide excellent customer service to participants and landlords.
Responsibilities:
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education : Associate degree in Business, Public Administration, or a related field.
Experience : Minimum of four (4) years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
This Housing Specialist position requires the ability to carry out the following physical demands as part of the role: sit and stand for up to eight (8) hours at a time; bend, stoop, push, and pull in the performance of job-related duties; work around various fumes, odors, and dust; maintain visual and auditory acuity, with or without correction; view a computer screen for prolonged periods; and repetitive motions with wrists, hands, and fingers due to using office equipment.
