Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in planning, urban or regional planning, civil engineering or related field (e.g. Landscape Architecture, Geography, etc.), plus five years of professional experience.
- Ability to work on several projects or issues simultaneously and attend to details while keeping big-picture goals in mind.
- Ability to work independently or in a team environment as needed.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to develop and give public presentations.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office products, GIS programs and other applicable applications.
- In-depth knowledge of one or more transportation planning specializations, such as long-range transportation plans, bicycle and pedestrian planning, transit planning, corridor and traffic studies, sustainability, equity, and land use planning.
- AICP Certification is preferred.
