    About the Role

    The Accounts Payable Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of the company’s accounts payable function. This includes processing vendor invoices, maintaining vendor relationships, ensuring accurate and timely payments, and implementing cost-saving measures. This position will be remote but may change.

    Responsibilities Include but not limited to: Vendor Management:

    Establish and maintain strong relationships with vendors.

    Resolve vendor inquiries and disputes efficiently.

    Negotiate payment terms and discounts.

    Invoice Processing:

    Review and process vendor invoices for accuracy and completeness.

    Obtain necessary approvals for invoice payments.

    Ensure proper coding and classification of invoices.

    Payment Processing:

    Prepare and process timely payments to vendors.

    Maintain accurate payment records and documentation.

    Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.

    Financial Reporting:

    Prepare and analyze accounts payable reports and metrics.

    Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency.

    Provide financial data and analysis to management as needed.

    Team Management:

    Oversee and manage the accounts payable team.

    Provide training and development opportunities for team members.

    Assign and delegate tasks to ensure efficient workflow.

    Compliance:

    Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local tax regulations.

    Maintain accurate and organized financial records.

    Perform other accounting duties as assigned

    Qualifications

    Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred.

    Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounts payable.

    Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.

    Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems.

    Excellent organizational and time management skills.

    Attention to detail and accuracy.

    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

    Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.

    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
