    Howmet Engine Systems is looking for a CNC Machine Operator to join our Winsted, CT team! This individual will set-up, operate and maintain a process machine (rotary, surface grinder, etc.). They will also consistently meet all safety / production requirements, maintain all quality / production records, and assist with training new team members as required.

    Responsibilities:

    • Perform machine set-up, wheel changes, inspections of non-certified operators and TPM duties
    • Maintain all quality / production records and visual control boards and hour X hour charts
    • Assist with training of Machine Trainees as required
    • Execute clean-up shift procedures
    • Actively participate / promote Continuous Improvement activities as well as Quality / EH&S programs and policies
    • Follow policies and procedures as outlined in Employee Handbook
    • Achieve and maintain certified status
    • Perform all other job duties as assigned

    Requirements:

    • High school diploma or GED

    • 1 or more years of machining or related experience preferred, this includes but is not limited to manufacturing, industrial, labor-related experience

    • This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status. ITAR defines U.S. person as an U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e., 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.

    Total Compensation:

    • Base pay is $20.00 - $24.00 /hr

    • 2nd

    shift differential is $2.00 /hr on top of base wage

    • 3rd

    shift differential is $3.00 /hr on top of base wage

    • External hires are eligible for a $3,000 sign on bonus*

    • The final pay of this position is based on applicable experience and equity with our current staff

    The Howmet Aerospace Engines business produces world-class aerospace enginecomponents, including investment castings, fasteners, rings, and forgings. Our vacuum melted superalloys, machining, performance coatings and hot isostatic pressing for high performance parts enable the next generation of quieter, cleaner and more fuel-efficient aerospace engines. Able to supply more than 90% of structural and rotating aerospace engine components.

    *$3,000 bonus to be paid out on the following schedule: $1,000 paid in your first month of employment,$1,000 paid once you pass your Certification qualifications, and the final 1,000 paid after the successful completion of 6 months of employment.

    You should be proficient in:
