The HR Specialist is a detail-oriented and proactive team member responsible for supporting key human resources functions, and ensuring compliance, confidentiality, and efficiency in all HR processes. This role oversees the entire recruitment lifecycle, facilitates new hire orientations, and assists in employee relations initiatives to promote a positive workplace culture. Additionally, the HR Specialist manages payroll processing, benefits administration, and policy updates, ensuring alignment with company objectives and employment laws. The ideal candidate has at least three years of experience in talent acquisition, a strong understanding of employment law and HR best practices, and exceptional communication skills. A passion for employee engagement, process improvement, and fostering a strong company culture is essential. Responsibilities: • Assist the hiring team with the full recruitment lifecycle, from job postings to interviews and hiring decisions. • Conduct new hire orientations and ensure a seamless onboarding experience. • Assist with payroll processing, benefits administration, and leave management, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations. • Maintain and update HR policies, ensuring alignment with employment laws, company objectives, and industry best practices. • Maintain HRIS to maintain employee records, track key HR metrics, and generate reports for leadership. • Conduct new hire orientations and manage the entire new hire experience to ensure a seamless onboarding process. Schedule and conduct new hire reviews at 30, 60, and 90 days to assess integration and performance. • Manage the offboarding process for departing employees, ensuring all company property is returned, finalizing payroll and benefits details, and providing the necessary documentation to support a smooth transition out of the company. • Oversee all HR systems to ensure operational efficiency, maintain the integrity of information and data, and implement system updates and enhancements as necessary to support HR functions and organizational goals. • Support employee relations initiatives, ensuring confidentiality, conflict resolution, and compliance with labor laws and company policies. • Assist HR management with projects as required. Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred. Minimum 3 years of HR experience, with a focus on talent acquisition, compliance, and employee relations. • Fluent in English and Spanish (spoken and written), with the ability to communicate HR policies, employee relations matters, and legal compliance information clearly in both languages. • Strong understanding of employment laws, HR best practices, and payroll/benefits administration. • Proficiency in HRIS, ATS, and Google Workspace. • Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills with the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
