NICU Registered Nurse (RN) - Shift by Shift

Location: Newport Beach, CA

Position Summary:

The NICU RN provides direct patient care in the Level III NICU, collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure safe, quality care. Key duties include:

Performing physical assessments and nursing interventions

Managing pain and administering medications

Collecting specimens and meeting nutritional needs

Educating and preparing patients for discharge

Utilizing evidence-based practices to meet patient care needs

Adjusting nursing care processes as necessary

Consulting with resource personnel for ethical/legal/medical decisions

Required Skills & Experience:

2 years of current RN experience in NICU

Education:

Required: BSN or enrollment in a BSN program within one year of hire, to be completed within two years

Preferred: N/A

Certifications & Licensure:

Required:

Active, current Registered Nurse licensure in California

NRP

BLS (AHA)

Preferred: NICU didactic course and STABLE

Compensation:

$95/hr
