Job Description

RYOT is in search of an ambitious and responsible development intern! As a film production company and virtual reality studio, RYOT requires all hands on deck at all times. A development intern will work closely with the head of films to research projects in development and assist with various day-to-day tasks, and has interest and/or background in film, humanitarian work, news, and/or technology. She/he can multitask as well as focus on bigger projects for long stretches of time, and says “Yes” whenever necessary and possible. Successful interns will earn invaluable experience working in the ever-evolving world of documentary film, as well as learn about virtual reality as a new media. Specifically, a RYOT development intern would be responsible for:

• In-depth research on productions in development

• Research on festival and award prospects and submissions

• Offering pitches for various RYOT productions in development

• Assisting the RYOT Films staff on a variety of day-to-day administrative tasks

• Research on talent, directors, etc.

• Updating various film databases/spreadsheets
