Qualifications
Required:
- Ph.D. students in Computer Science or a related discipline.
- 3+ years of research experience, or an equivalent graduate research background, primarily in visual analytics, eXplainable AI (XAI), AI agents, applied machine learning and related fields.
- Publications in premier visualization, machine learning, deep learning, and computer vision journals and conferences.
- 2+ years’ experience in full stack web development with both frontend (e.g., React, Vue.js, and D3.js) and backend (e.g., Flask, Django)
- 2+ years’ programming experience with one or more scripting or statistical programming languages (e.g., Python, R)
Desired:
- Knowledge in machine learning and deep learning, notably in Foundation Model AI tooling , ADAS, spatiotemporal machine learning, deep graph learning, general representation learning, model distillation, and related areas.
- Familiar with major machine learning platforms like PyTorch.
- Experience in human-in-the-loop and human-AI teaming research methods.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and teamwork capabilities.

The U.S. base salary range for this intern position is $43.00-$66.00 hourly. Within the range, individual pay is determined based on several factors, including, but not limited to, type of degree, work experience and job knowledge, complexity of the role, type of position, job location, etc. Your Hiring Manager can share more details about the specific salary range for this position during the interview process.
