    Human Resources Assistant - Full-Time The Doubletree by Hilton Colorado Springs is hiring a Full-Time Human Resources Assistant. Performs a variety of basic personnel support duties to ensure an effective operation of the human resources department. To include clerical duties associated with applicant screening and tracking, typing and filing, maintaining employment and training records, and basic functions relative to customer service. Responsibilities: Including is the following but may require other duties. • Report to work on time in appropriate attire. • Maintain a positive work environment by behaving and communicating in a cordial, courteous, and professional manner with guests, candidates, co-workers, and management. • Read, understand, and abide by the employee handbook, hotel policies, and department procedures. Application – New Hire Process • Greet all applicants. • Assists with recruitment and interview process as directed by HR Director. Log and track the status of candidates in applicant tracking software and respond with follow-up letters at the end of the recruiting process. • Schedule new hires for new hire paperwork, drug screening, and Background checks. • Schedule new hires for orientation. • Contact candidate references. • Create new hire packets. • Process paperwork associated with employee hiring and payroll, and verify legal documentation. • Set up new employee files. • Maintain a new hire (training matrix) log. Benefits Processing • Assist with Open Enrollment. • Answer employee questions regarding benefit forms. • Process forms for accuracy, completeness, and distribution. • Personnel File Maintenance. • Maintain filing system of personnel files, benefits files, and other human resources filing systems. Additional Functions • Maintain the job line, weekly listings of job openings, and other recruitment tasks as directed by the Human Resources Director. • Assists with the preparation of the performance review process. • Create Birthday/Anniversary Lists and distribute them monthly to appropriate managers. • Correspondence, mail, and phones as needed. • Maintain employee bulletin boards and assist with employee morale-enhancing projects. • Assist the HR Director with scheduling and/or conducting Employee Orientation or other training courses. • Assists HR Director with various research projects and/or special projects. • Adheres to all company policies and procedures. • Follows safety and security procedures and rules. • Knows fire prevention and emergency procedures. • Reports on unsafe conditions to management. • Reports accidents, injuries, near-misses, property damage, or loss to supervisor. • Provides a safe work environment by following all safety and security procedures and rules. • All team members must maintain a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance. (Specific standards outlined in team member handbook). • Perform any related duties as requested by management. Qualifications: • Prior human resources experience preferred. • Strong admin and organizational skills. • High level of confidentiality. Compensation: $17 - $18 hourly
