    Human Resource Assistant Full-Time

    JB & Associates is currently accepting applications for a Full-Time Human Resources Assistant working out of our Lincoln, NE location.

    The Full-Time Human Resources Assistant is responsible for assisting in all aspects and day-to-day administration of the Human Resources function for the company to include the following:

    Essential Duties:

    Daily imports of data files into HRIS.

    Review the completion of New Hire paperwork is correct and check for Accuracy.

    Maintain excel reporting of New Hires with documents needed to be sent to managers daily.

    Respond to Unemployment claims through an electronic response system.

    Submit state specific Employee Separation notices as required.

    Assist with processing and refreshing job posts in our ATS.

    Complete the onboarding process as needed.

    Conduct interviews for a variety of positions.

    Processes Leave request changes in HRIS system as needed.

    Assist the Payroll and Benefits manager with employee benefits programs, including group health and life insurance, HSA plans, and 401(k) plan.

    Assist in conducting assessments, reference checks, and background checks as part of the hiring process.

    Serves as an administrator assistant for the Company’s Human Resources Information System (HRIS), ensuring the integrity of personnel files and HRIS databases.

    Maintains confidential personnel records, including performance documents, benefits, compensation, and payroll records in accordance with regulatory guidelines and Company policies.

    Administers FMLA requests and leaves as needed.

    Will assist in the use of E-Verify to process hires/rehires.

    Additional responsibilities as assigned

    Qualifications & Requirements:

    Minimum 1 year experience in HR (or related field) or Office Administration.

    Basic understanding of human resource functions.

    MUST have strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel to include knowledge of basic formulas, filtering, and the ability to create/build individual reporting, and work from multiple spreadsheets simultaneously.

    Knowledge of all related computer applications to include Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, and Adobe.

    Understanding of human resource reporting and record-keeping requirements.

    Well organized.

    Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues independently.

    Knowledge in conflict resolution.

    Accurate and attentive to detail.

    Work Conditions & Physical Demands:

    Sitting for extended periods of time.

    Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and other computing equipment.

    Able to work in small spaces with high levels of noise and temperatures produced from servers and fans.

    The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

    The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, sit, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel or crouch.
