    Job Description

    We are looking for a qualified Human Resources Associate to join our team and provide support throughout the entire employee lifecycle. You'll work closely with and report to the HR Manager, providing a strong foundation for our employee experience.     OBJECTIVES OF THIS ROLE:

    • Provide administrative support for HR functions.
    • Serve as a reliable source of information for employees, promptly answering questions regarding policies and benefits.
    • Ensure that all employees feel safe and cared for at our company by addressing concerns promptly and professionally.
    • Act as a liaison between the HR and employees
    • This role offers the chance to gain valuable experience in all aspects of HR and develop your skills for future advancement.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Assist with recruiting tasks such as reviewing resumes, scheduling interviews, and following up with candidates.
    • Schedule and coordinate onboarding agenda and training sessions.
    • Compile and process employee documentation and records, and keep the employee e-files current.
    • Assist the HR manager with formulating policies, procedures, and changes and communicating all updates to employees.
    • Responding to employee questions in a timely and professional manner.
    • Assist with ADP WFN payroll time & attendance and documentation.
    • Day-to-day administration of applicable employee benefits programs including assistance with claims resolution, change reporting, audit of invoices for correctness, employee enrollment, etc.
    • Maintain health & safety programs including collaborating with third-party vendors.
    • Manage Leave of Absence processes. Have an understanding of CTPL and keep apprised of any changes in the laws or forms for all states we have employees based in.
    • Handle all inquiries from employees, and outside parties promptly and professionally.
    • Keep abreast of current developments in areas of interest to the department and the organization; including employment laws and local, state, and federal regulations and statutes.
    • Special projects as needed.

    SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
    • Strong attention to detail.
    • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively.
    • Proficiency in administrative duties such as communications, data entry, and record-keeping.
    • Enthusiasm for working within a team environment.
    • Tact and professionalism when it comes to handling confidential information and addressing employee concerns.
    • Proficiency with technology, and the ability to pick up new software easily.

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Familiarity with the ADP WFN is a plus but not required
    • Experience in an administrative role
    • Understanding of labor laws
    • Desire to grow within the company

    FLSA STATUS:

    Non-exempt position – Non-exempt employees will receive overtime pay at 1.5 times the calculated hourly rate for time worked more than 40 hours per week.

    POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK

    This is a full-time position, regular business hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 pm and 12:30 pm to 4:30 p.m.

    LOCATION:

    Branford, CT - In Person

    TRAVEL

    This position requires up to 5% travel.

    EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

    • Bachelor's degree in human resources, education, business, or a related field is preferred but not required

    3+ years of experience in human resources in the manufacturing industry.
