We're seeking an experienced and motivated Human Resources Business Partner to join our HR team, supporting our commitment to an engaging, positive, and legally compliant workplace.

    Position Summary

    The HR Business Partner will provide expert guidance on employee relations, performance management and compliance with employment laws. You will collaborate with clients to develop tailored solutions and support leadership on workforce planning and employee engagement. Your role will also include overseeing the creation and review of handbooks, policies and HR best practices to ensure our clients’ success. Ideal candidates have a strong background in HR consulting, excellent communication skills and a deep understanding of multistate employment laws.

    This role is pivotal in supporting our teams with an efficient, compliant, and proactive approach to human resources.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Respond to HR-related inquiries from clients, providing accurate guidance on policies, procedures, and best practices.
    • Assist clients with developing Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs), drafting disciplinary warnings, and creating separation agreements using established templates customized to ensure compliance and mitigate risk.
    • Partner with clients to create and maintain a positive, inclusive workplace culture that aligns with their organizational goals.
    • Ensure compliance with Department of Labor regulations, including minimum salary, wage, and overtime requirements, keeping clients informed of any changes.
    • Identify potential issues, conduct regular HR audits, and make recommendations to ensure clients remain compliant with employment laws.
    • Review, update, and customize client handbooks to include state-specific requirements.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field (preferred).
    • 2+ years in an HR or similar role, with experience in employee relations, compliance, and policy interpretation; PEO experience is a plus.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
    • Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships and provide clear, customer-focused guidance to clients.
    • Strong communication and organizational skills, with a customer service and detail-oriented approach.
