The Learning & Development Coordinator supports the HR department in various administrative, onboarding, training and operational functions. The role involves assisting with recruitment, employee relations, benefits administration, compliance with labor laws and on-going department training across The WEC Ocala Resort.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assist with the recruitment process by posting job openings, screening resumes, and scheduling interviews.
- Greets all employees in a friendly, helpful manner to learn of the service need from Human Resources. When possible, will respond to the service need by providing the requested information and or assistance in completing various human resources forms.
- Answers phone calls within 3 rings in a friendly manner and offers appropriate assistance.
- Updates as needed the hourly job opening posting.
- Assists in screening applicants.
- Sends out the weekly response to applicants that are not selected for employment.
- Maintain and update employee records and HR databases with accurate information.
- Assist with new job offers, new employee paperwork including I-9’s.
- Processes as needed background checks and reports any concerns that are reported back from background company.
- Manages the personnel files to include daily filing.
- Adheres to a strict code of confidentiality.
- Assist as needed with various employee relations projects such as monthly birthday celebrations, Team member of the Quarter recognition, and All Team member meetings. Will assist in updating materials on the employee bulletin boards.
- Have complete knowledge of all policies, standards, and procedures of the department.
- Be familiar with property services, amenities, and outlets.
- Maintain cleanliness of work area.
- Available for work assignments outside of associate’s customary work schedule. This may include evenings, overnight, weekends and holidays.
- Compliance with all policies and procedures and described and communicated by management.
- Oversee the Riding into Success Orientation programming.
- Works with the Learning & Development Manager to create and execute learning strategies and programs.
- Assess success of development plans and help all employees make the most of learning opportunities.
- Assist with the implementation of digital and in-person learning methods.
- Help support managers to develop successful teams through tailored training programs and career pathing.
- Evaluate individual and organizational development needs.
- Fosters a culture of continuous learning, professional growth and service excellence.
- Maintains budgets and relationships with each department.
- Additional duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications, Education, Experience, Skills, and Abilities:
- Associate degree preferred or equivalent education.
- Previous experience developing and implementing training programs preferred.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and have basic computer skills.
- Valid Driver’s license.
- Multi-lingual skills preferred.
